Natural Disasters

We don’t have control over this. As per global warming natural disasters will be more powerful and the number will increase. Last 2 years we faced the 2 largest cyclones, Amphan 2020 and Josh 2021 in the east of India. We also faced floods in coastal areas. Many villages were flooded and many more people were homeless. There was no food and drinking water. They share their shelter with their pets. It’s also affected cultivation and our economy.

We tried to help people as much as possible. After the cyclones, we cut out the trees to make the road clear. We enriched affected villages with required fasting, drinking water, one-week rations, sanitary pad, tarp for shelter, etc.

Covid -19, Lockdown

From June 2020 to July 2021 most underprivileged people faced disasters in their life. Most people lose their job and business. The economy goes down. People were hopeless, they didn’t have money for food and medicine. At that time the number of Covid patients increased, so no bed was available in the hospital. Also, we faced an Oxygen crisis for home-based patients.

We started online medical consultation with doctors and patients by phone. Shared the prescribed medicine free of cost. Installed Aarogya Setu app and started awareness program of it. For emergency patients arranged hospital beds and provided Oxygen cylinders for home-based patients. After that started a food donation camp weekly during the full lockdown.
